WHERE DO YOUR DESIRES COME FROM?

Have you ever asked yourself from which place did you set your goals? Where did your desires come from? Was it because of the desire to prove something to someone? Having what someone else has? Meeting the expectations that some people have of you? Or was it because you want it with your heart? Would you do it even if no one was watching? Ask yourself if your desires are born from the ego with the motivation to satisfy someone else, your environment or society. Or if your desires come from your heart because it is what you genuinely enjoy and makes you happy.

To know if your desires come from the heart, ask yourself the following questions: 

• Would you want something even if no one else saw it?

• If no one else could see what you accomplished, would you still do it the same way?

• Are you doing something to make yourself or someone else proud?

• What do you like to do when you are alone and you don't have an outside influence telling you what to do?

• What do you feel connects in your soul and your heart?

• What would you do if no one was watching you?

• What would you do even if you had won the lottery?

Asking yourself these questions could help you identify where your desires come from. If it is from the ego, from the search for external validation; or from the heart because it really is the desire of your soul that connects you with who you truly are, with your higher self.

I want to invite you to reflect on this not with the intention of crucifying material desires, which are also important in our instance on the earthly plane. But with the intention that you review the place from which you set your goals and desires. Is it for someone else or for you? Life goes away in an instant; if you get distracted along the way you could spend your entire life following the ego's desires, trying to please someone else and forgetting about yourself and your true desires.

I invite you to take advantage of the opportunity to be alive, to be having this experience on earth. Allow yourself to experience everything you really want, the desires that come from your heart, fulfill your soul's plan. Give yourself the opportunity to know the best version of yourself, to live your best life being truly happy. Dare to listen to yourself, to give voice to your interior.

May your desires expand the light of your soul and not drown you in illusion.

Don't let yourself be distracted by the desires of the world, rescue yourself.
