RECONNECT WITH YOUR REALITY

I noticed that my attitude toward life had been very serious lately. I noticed this because I realized that for a while now I hadn't laughed out loud or smiled as much as I used to. It was then that I took a moment before going to sleep to introspect and see what was happening. I lay on my back, closed my eyes, and began to observe my inner self.

I watched my days go by, seeing myself firsthand and seeing how, as the day unfolded, I was paying attention to what I still had to do, what "should be," and in general, what was missing... then I understood what was happening. Despite experiencing one of the best moments of my life, where many of my desires and dreams were materializing, I was losing track of my reality. I was forgetting to stop along the way to enjoy myself, I was forgetting to be grateful and savor the present for paying full attention to achieving what was needed. As I've said before, "what's needed" never ends... In life, once we reach a goal, we move on to the next, and then the next, and it never ends; as I explain in more depth in my blog: "Why do you feel dissatisfied and nothing is enough?" https://www.melsaveyoursoul.com/post/why-do-you-feel-dissatisfied-and-it-seems-like-nothing-is-enough

I've written this before, and I'm writing it again now because even though we sometimes know what we should be in concepts, our human experience is always challenging us through our experiences. Sometimes we're very connected and motivated by what we must do to create our best version and reality; and other times, an event captures our attention so much that we deviate from the positive focus we were having.

I know we're all different, and for some people, it may be easier than for others to stay positive about life and stay connected to the present. For others, it may be a little harder; for me personally, I need to remind myself and reinforce it. On this occasion, this reflection I had was a wake-up call for me, and it could be for you too, if you've been through or are going through something similar.

It's beautiful to see how we grow day by day, how we get closer to our goals, and how our problems change. Growing means our problems change with us. You no longer have the problems you had five years ago because you are no longer the person you were five years ago. Each level requires a new version of yourself, and that's how you keep moving forward. However, we must be careful not to let our ambition lead us into dissatisfaction. The fact that you are now at another level and both your problems and your goals are higher doesn't take away from the merit of what you have achieved.

Remember that when I talk about achieving, I'm not just talking about material achievements; you also have your personal achievements that only you know about. It's an achievement to mature emotionally, it's an achievement to heal your wounds, it's an achievement to become a better version of yourself. That's why it's important that we take the time to be grateful for what we are experiencing at this moment (a wake-up call for me and for you).

We must continue growing and advancing toward our goals, but we must also pause and be grateful for what we've come along the way. When our attention is focused solely on continuing to grow and reaching the next goal, we lose track of reality, and this prevents us from enjoying the present fully.

I firmly believe that living in the present is a lesson that all human beings go through; our thoughts can wander anywhere and become somewhat disconnected from the present. That's why it's important to constantly remind ourselves to pause and give thanks. We must give thanks for everything that has been and everything that is in the present. We must find a way to connect with what's in front of us, with the experience of the present, because that is the only way we will find happiness, or rather, live in it.

If you find yourself disconnecting from reality sometimes because you're thinking about your next achievement or task, don't blame yourself for it. You are not alone in this; in this human experience, many of us go through it, and that is part of our lessons.

The important thing is that you always return to the light, that you remind yourself of your true purpose, and that enjoying yourself is part of it. <3

Have you ever experienced disconnecting from reality by wandering in your thoughts? Tell me about your experience; I'd like to know how you experience it and how you feel about it. You can share your experience with me in the comments or privately in the contact section. I'd love to hear from you! :)

Love, Mel.
